Subfloor construction
As with any type of construction, QBCC standards and practices will be strictly followed, alongside the specific span and load requirements as per the drawings.
Dawson Construction Co use a timber preservative spray (Ecoseal) on all raw cuts to prevent rot and decay in the future.
Before the decking is laid
Before the decking is laid, a black tape (G-Tape Deck Protector) will be installed along the subfloor to aid in the longevity of the deck.

Deck finishes
All decks constructed by Dawson Construction Co are built to last due to a number of factors.
One key factor is the hardware that is used. We use 'Wurth' Stainless Screws as they just simply work! They provide a flush and elegant finish and are a high quality austenitic A2 Stainless Steel (ideal for outdoor areas that are exposed to the elements).
All general hardware used is of high quality stainless or galvanised in order to meet all QBCC standards.
Lastly, we use a quality deck cleaner and oil which enhances the stunning natural grains of the timber, whilst protecting your beautiful deck through Queensland’s climate.
